Degradation Description
This project involves the restoration of two adjacent parcels of tidal marsh, separated by a small residential development and a natural rocky outcrop. Chittenden Park tidal marsh, to the west, has poor tidal circulation due to clogged tidal creeks and has scattered dense patches of Phragmites; Jacob's Beach tidal marsh, to the east, has a clogged inlet in addition to clogged tidal creeks and is nearly a 100% monoculture of Phragmites.
